Building the Energy

The commercial was built around motion and rhythm. I wanted every cut and transition to feel intentional so the video keeps the viewer engaged from beginning to end. The fast editing style, combined with cinematic shots, helped create a sense of speed and intensity throughout the commercial.

A lot of attention was also given to timing and flow. Instead of randomly placing effects and transitions, I focused on making the visuals move naturally with the audio and the overall mood of the piece.

Built Through Sound

The sound design for this project actually started as an experiment for a game design concept. I had created the audio imagining a protagonist entry scene — something intense, cinematic, and powerful that builds anticipation before revealing the character.

While filming and editing the commercial, I realized the same sound direction matched the visuals really well. The energy, bass hits, ambient textures, and cinematic build-up naturally fit the pacing of the OMEN edit, so I adapted and refined the sound to work with the commercial footage.

Cinematic Editing Process

This project became an interesting mix of two creative areas video editing and sound design. Since the sound already had a cinematic and game-inspired feel, I edited the visuals around the rhythm and mood of the audio instead of treating sound as a secondary element.

Using Premiere Pro for editing and Reaper for sound design helped me explore how audio can completely change the feel of visuals. The process taught me how important sound is in creating atmosphere, especially in performance-focused and cinematic edits like this. Check out my Behance profile to view the Full Project-
